Since the founders met in 1997, their professional partnership propelled them to achieve many awards and accolades. The motion paint image processing software they developed for the dream sequences in “What Dreams May Come” helped propel the movie to win an Academy Award in 1998 for Best Visual Effects. This work also garnered them a Golden Nica award at the Austrian Ars Electronica festival, and a Best Visual Achievement Award from IMAGINA, a festival in Monaco.

Their work helped win an Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) for Best Visual Effects in 2003 for “Dreamkeeper,” produced by Hallmark Entertainment for ABC. For this mini-series, they developed special purpose software for per-pixel motion tracking, as well as for calculating depth from stereo imagery to produce the required effects.

They received an Academy Award for Technical Achievement in 2006 that recognized their design and development of the RE:Vision Effects family of affordable, user-friendly software plug-ins. Today, there are over a dozen indispensable plug-in sets, including the acclaimed Twixtor and ReelSmart Motion Blur, that customers rely on to add visual effects or other enhancements to their videos, either as stand-alone products or tools seamlessly integrated within broader computer graphics environments.
