Version: 3.2.4b (Mac only) - July 18, 2008 * Fixed a bug in the Macintosh installer where the RSMB Pro render-only installer did not properly activate the use of ReelSmart Motion Blur regular in render-only mode. Version: 3.2.4 - October 18, 2006 * Fixed a problem where RSMB 3.x and RSMB Pro 3.x plugins may not produce frames or even crash within After Effects 7.0 when the layer had AE's Time Remapping, Time Stretch, Time-Reverse Layer or Freeze Frame applied. * Fixed a problem where a red frame might flash when interactively scrubbing along the timeline within AE 7.0. Version: 3.2.3 - April 20, 2006 * Fixed a problem on Windows where AE 7.0 won't quit if a project has RSMB applied. * Added Intel support for Final Cut Pro. Read about limitations. Version: 3.2.2 - There was no version 3.2.2 released Version: 3.2.1 - January 25, 2006 * Fixed a bug that was crashing Final Cut Pro. * In RSMB Pro, the Track Points were incorrectly grouped with the FG1 grouping of settings. This has been corrected. Version: 3.2 - January 17, 2006 * Added the improved tracking of Twixtor 4.5 * Added floating point image support for After Effects 7.0 * smoother results when vector images with alpha are provided to the Pro version plugins that blurs using user-supplied vectors * On the Macintosh, make sure to delete the previous set of plugins for ReelSmart Motion Blur in your plugins folder, because the name of the plugin files have been changed * On the Macintosh users will see a significant improvement on G5 CPUs running Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). Version: 3.0.2 - August 18, 2004 * Fixed a crashing bug in combustion when interacting with parameters or scrubbing the timeline from within combustion on both Macintosh and Windows. * Fixed a problem with crashing and hanging on multiprocessor Windows machines when deleting a plugin from a project or quitting a host application. Version: 3.0.1 - July 5, 2004 * Fixed a rare crashing bug. The same fix will avoid incorrect tracking (when not causing a crash) in some rate situations as well. * The Motion Sensitivity setting is now more continous when determining how far pixels are tracked (in previous versions, the motion sensitivity only changed in discreet jumps). Version: 3.0 - March 25, 2004 * Because we've added new options in version 3.0: You'll see that we've renamed the plugin, and that it will show up in the applications as "RSMB 3.x" and "RSMB Pro 3.x." That way, your old projects will still run and load (using pre-3.0 RSMB). * New features to both regular and Pro versions: o Cheap Render-Only licenses for render farms. o Motion sensitivity now varies smoothly rather than jumping in discreet steps. * New features in RSMB Pro 3.0: o Motion blur can be applied using motion vectors from an external source, e.g., motion vectors from your 3D system. o Automatic scene change intelligence so that motion blur is not applied across a scene cut. o On problematic footage, give RSMB Pro tracking hints through the use of tracking point settings that can often be tied to a host program's point tracker. o In addition you can give RSMB Pro hints by showing exactly where objects move from frame to frame using After Effects’ splines (known in After Effects as masks). o Per-pixel image tracking can be turned off and motion blur added based solely on the motion of tracking points and splines. o In combustion, splines used to hint RSMB's tracking can have their control vertices tied to combustion's tracker! Version: 2.1 - December 17, 2003 * Multiprocessor support added. Users will see a significant speedup on multiprocessor machines. * G5 optimization added for Mac versions of the products. Updates for Mac versions only available for Mac OS X. * We've added two few features: o Motion Sensitivity: Prior to version 2.0 you really had no choice to limit the amount of motion calculated for any motion estimation quality. The newly added Motion Sensitivity option now allows you to limit how much pixels can move once a particular motion vector quality is chosen. This can help eliminate the "gloop" in creating new frames that is seen when objects pass over each other in the imagery. o In ReelSmart Motion Blur Pro, we allow you to specify (via a matte), a foreground layer that is separate from the background layer. The two layers are tracked, interpolated and warped separately. ReelSmart Motion Blur uses proprietary filling and tracking techniques when working on the background layer, even when it is obscured by the foreground! Note: applying earlier versions of ReelSmart Motion Blur to 2 layers (the foreground and background) and then combining them does not produce the same results, because in the Pro 2.0 version we figure out the motion for the portion of the background layer that is covered by the foreground later, an important part in reconstructing the background when the foreground moves in front of it. * Because we've added new options in version 2.0: o You'll see that we've renamed the plugin, and that it will show up in the applications as "ReelSmart Motion Blur 2.x." That way, your old projects will still run and load (using pre-2.0 Motion Blur). Version: 1.8.2 - * Support for 16 bits per channel from within After Effects 5.0 Pro Bundle. To gain access to 16-bit support, you must purchase ReelSmart Motion Blur Pro, or the ReelSmart Motion Blur Pro Upgrade if you've already purchased the regular version. Version: 1.8.1 - Only the After Effects version has been updated! * ReelSmart Motion Blur After Effects-compatible plugin has been revamped so that Discreet combustion projects work correctly after saving and re-opening. * ReelSmart Motion Blur After Effects-compatible plugin fixes a bug that crashes an application when the "Get Motion From" sequence is of a different size than the output sequence. * ReelSmart Motion Blur After Effects-compatible plugin now works in Premiere 6.0. Version: 1.8 - * ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.8 is now 15% faster than version 1.7. * ReelSmart Motion Blur provides you the option to remove as well as add motion blur. * ReelSmart Motion Blur listens for user actions, making for greater interactivity with the host application. Version: 1.7 - * ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.6 disabled the feature of using one clip to blur another... this has been fixed in 1.7 Version: 1.6 - * ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.6 is now much faster, taking 40% less time... what used to take 10 minutes now takes 6 minutes. * ReelSmart Motion Blur 1.6 now works perfectly in Final Cut Pro 1.2.5, in addition to may other applications, such as After Effects 3.1, 4.0, 4.1, Commotion and combustion*. Version: 1.5 - * ReelSmart Motion Blur v. 1.5 now conforms to the After Effects 3.1 standard, which means it will work with After Effects 3.1, 4.0 and 4.1. Furthermore, it continues to work with Commotion, Final Cut Pro (although with some restrictions). It does not work with the current version of Discreet's effect*. * On a Macintosh G3 processor based machine (iMac, G3, G4), the plugin has enhanced performance. Version: 1.4 - * Even better tracking than previous versions. Most notably this reduces or eliminates “splotches” that occur in some situations. * crashes resulting from multi-layering of the filter have been fixed. Version: 1.3 - * Better tracking, leading to fewer anomalies (i.e., fewer "splotches" that still occurred in 1.2). Version: 1.2 - * fixed problem with frame going dark on occasion * fixed problem with splotches appearing in rendered frames. * slightly better tracking * better Draft Rendering support
