Floating license server/client software and setting up your site

Setting up your site for floating licenses (and what we need from you to make you your licenses).

Instructions for ARRI products are a bit different, for that go here:

  • First, select a machine to be your license server. Pick a machine that will be around for a while, because there is a fee involved with transferring the license server to another machine.
  • Download the license software (links below) and run the license server installer on your chosen license server. There is a PDF manual that is installed. Please be sure to read it. You’ll run the license client installer on your clients after you receive a license file from us.
  • Return to us the system id that is displayed at the end of the installation process so that we can make you your licenses.

Windows:10 and up, Server 2008 and up, including 64-bit versions. Macintosh: OS X 10.6 and up. Linux: 64-bit linux system required. CentOS 7 or over.

System Requirements

This is an archive of previous version of RVL floating license. Some linux flavors might not have all the libraries we need (e.g. libuuid). Normally all you need is to select to install development libraries when you install the OS. In particular we rely upon: libpthread.so.0, libuuid.so.1, libstdc++.so.6, libm.so.6, libgcc_s.so.1,libc.so.6.
