Creation of a character-less background plate
In order to generate effects you might want to copy surrounding good regions to replace a foreground character to get a "close enough" result (in the image on the right,the foreground character has been removed and replaced with white pixels). For example RE:Fill can make copies of the green plant in order to replace the foreground character... creating a background plate that is suitable for effects generation (click on the image to see the movie with the reconstructed region).
