Liquid Dancers

Dancers were roughly keyed from a dark background and the resulting mattes were then treated with Shade/Shape to produce the animation here. In order to enhance the effect, paint splat footage (by Artbeats) was added to the beginning of the footage, and was also processed by Shade/Shape. Choreography by Cheryl Chaddick, www.companychaddick.org. Animation by RE:Vision Effects.

Secret of the Sapphires

Shading Correction
Here Shade/Shape is used to apply shading correction to some original cinematography. Note the light is slightly animated for demo purposes. Relighting and colorization entirely done in Shade/Shape.

Background Dissolve
Here, Shade/Shape is used as a way to dissolve interestingly into a background plate. In this case we used the background plate as reflection map and progressively flattened the shape.
