ARRI Film Lab Features

FIlm Emulation

Drawing on ARRI’s film and digital expertise, ARRI Film Lab provides easy creative control of the grain, color, halation, and gate weave associated with analog film stocks and post processes.

Any Camera

Compatible with RGB images from any camera brought into a LogC4/C3 or Linear AWG4/AWG3 pipeline. Projects must use ARRI color management through to finishing, although ACES support is planned soon.

Print and Process Emulation

Recreate iconic film looks with the color characteristics of various print stocks, as well as reversal film and lab processes such as bleach bypass.

Complement your look

ARRI Film Lab adds a film feel to whatever look (LUT and/or grade) you have developed for your project. cameras.

Film Grain Simulation

Choose from 50D, 200T, or 500T grain profiles to match the texture and depth of classic negative film stocks.

Halation Control

Add a realistic glow around highlights and edges, mimicking the red/orange halo effect caused by light reflecting through film layers.

Gate Weave Simulation

Introduce subtle motion artifacts that replicate the slight mechanical jitter sometimes seen in film footage.

A full version of the plug-in. Images will be watermarked after a week if you have not purchased a license and applied registration key. Just press Done in ArriActivate panel to go in trial mode.

System Requirements

The same OS and hardware requirements for the version of the host application you are using. Baselight TWO use 6.0 24770 or over and 7.0.0 24960 and over to avoid thumbnails being watermarked. And a memory leak in Flame MacOS that is we are told fixed in upcoming Flame 2027.
